ARTISTIC WORKPLACE AND GALLERY

Glen Larson, Photographer

June 24 - 30, 2019

My passion for photography started with a tree, and my son. Well… indirectly my son. After I dropped my son off to school I had a bit of extra time on my hands. So I decided to go down by the lake (and I still do… Lake Michigan seems to draw me in, even as a teenager) and enjoy a few relaxing minutes with the sun rising over the lake. I started taking photos, and then I started to look at a particular tree in Eichelman Park and to take photos of it every morning I was down there as the leaves started to change color. A personal documentary of sorts. The photos weren’t great, but I enjoyed taking them and then posting them on Facebook. My niece noticed these and lent me her Cannon T2i. I was hooked with the ability to have a bit more control over what I saw and what the camera saw. That was about 5 or 6 years ago. Time flies. I rarely go out without my camera now. I guess I am a photographer…"

Glen is an incredibly talented photographer, whom we have been "chasing after" for several years in the attempt to get a chance to work with him. Well, we are extremely pleased to have him join us with his Residency from June 24 - 30th. Please check back here with more specifics on open house days/hours.
